Indian Point-of-Sale market opens up as PAX implements new competitive offering October 12, 2012

Shenzhen (China), 12 October 2012

PAX Technology, one of the world’s emerging Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal players has firmly set it’s sights on one of the world’s largest and most promising emerging payments markets, India.

This week PAX announced a series of strategic initiatives aimed at filling the demand for a more competitive supplier of POS terminals in the Indian market.

Daniel Poon, VP for Asia at PAX, said: “Indian customers are amongst the most technologically savvy in the world and will no doubt appreciate the superior quality and software performance of PAX products”.

Mark O’Flynn, Sales Director at PAX, added: “Latha Priyadarshini has joined as Country Head for Sales and Solutions, and Perumal Gurusamy as Senior Software Consultant.”  He added: “Our combined team has over 15 years experience working for rivals Verifone and Ingenico.”

PAX’s offering for Indian customers is unique in that it is the only POS manufacturer to have both a full range of state-of-the-art PCI compliant terminals as well a portfolio of competitive non-PCI devices for the non-banking vertical market segments.

Daniel Poon concluded by saying: “We welcome our Indian partners and customers to visit the impressive PAX manufacturing facilities and R&D headquarters in China, as many other international clients have over the past year, and to test our POS terminals to really experience the superiority of the PAX technology platform”.
