BASIC OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

The following section provides basic operating instructions for the E600.

Power ON/OFF

  • Power ON: Press and hold the power button on the right side of the terminal for 3-5 seconds.
  • Power OFF: Press and hold the power button on the right side of the terminal for 3-5 seconds.

Indicator Lights

  • Red Indicator: Device is charging.
  • Green Indicator: Charging is complete.
  • Flashing red and green indicators: There is a charging problem.

Battery Removal

  • Hold the sides of E600, and push further the button in direction shown below to open battery cover.
  • Properly align battery cover and press it to secure.

Printer Paper

1. Press printer cover button and open cover.
2. Insert paper roll with end facing up and extending out of E600.
3. Gently snap printer cover closed.


CARD READERS

The E600  includes the following card readers:

EMV Card Reader

Place the IC chip face up. Insert the IC card into the card slot and push it to the end.

Magnetic Stripe Card

Place the magnetic stripe face down. Keep the magnetic stripe card perpendicular to the main display. Swipe card through the magnetic card slot at a constant speed.

Contactless Card Reader

Put the contactless card on the center of the payment module screen.


SIM/SD CARD INSTALLATION

The E600 includes slots for both SIM and SD cards.

SIM Card

  1. Open battery cover and remove battery.
  2. Insert SIM card into slot in direction shown on label.

SD Card

  1. Open battery cover  and remove battery.
  2. Insert card into slot in direction shown on label.

MOUNTING TO BASE

  • Align the charging pins on the back of the E600 with the POGO Pins on the charging base.
  • Place the E600 onto the charging base.

The portable device is designed to meet the requirements for exposure to radio waves established by the Federal Communications Commission (USA). These requirements set a SAR limit of 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. The highest SAR value reported under this standard during product certification for use when properly worn on the body

This device contains licence-exempt transmitter(s)/receiver(s) that comply with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s licence-exempt RSS(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
