SysOps Engineer Job Summary:
We’re looking for a dedicated SysOps Engineer to maintain the stability, performance, and reliability of business-critical cloud applications. In this role, you will perform daily system monitoring, maintenance, health checks, and version upgrades while proactively identifying and resolving system anomalies, performance issues, and data inconsistencies. You will independently troubleshoot operational incidents, support major incident response activities, and contribute to post-incident analysis and documentation. The position requires close collaboration with security and compliance teams to provide audit evidence, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance requirements are met. You will also work closely with sales and customer support teams to resolve customer technical issues through environment troubleshooting and log analysis.
This is an onsite role in our Jacksonville, FL office working Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- • Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and routine checks of SaaS business systems, including version upgrades. Detect and resolve system anomalies, slowdowns, and data inconsistencies.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve common system errors and operational issues independently. Assist with major incidents and complete incident documentation and post-mortem reviews.
- • Support the security and compliance team by providing audit evidence (logs, screenshots, access records) and implementing follow-up improvements as needed.
- • Respond quickly to customer technical issues in collaboration with sales and customer support teams (e.g., environment troubleshooting, log analysis).
- • Write maintenance scripts using Shell or Python (e.g., log rotation, health checks, batch operations) to improve efficiency.
- • Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to production emergencies.
What You’ll Need:
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- • Language: Fluent Chinese (Mandarin) required – ability to communicate effectively with headquarters. Work proficiency in English for local work environment.
- • Kubernetes: Experience with Kubernetes cluster operations – understanding of Pods, Services, Deployments, and common troubleshooting.
- • Middleware: Basic knowledge of Nginx, MySQL, Redis, Kafka – configuration and common issue resolution.
- • Scripting: Proficient in Shell or Python for maintenance scripts.
- • AWS Services: Familiar with EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM (EKS experience is a plus).
- • Automation Tools: Familiar with Ansible or Terraform (experience is a plus).
- • Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills and ability to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies.
- • On-Call: Willing to participate in on-call rotation.
