Integration Technology & Process Improvement Internship Summary:

We’re looking for a motivated and curious intern to join our Integration Team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the technology behind modern payment systems, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, payment terminals, software applications, APIs, SDKs, and the tools that connect them. Programming or scripting experience is helpful for some projects but is not required for every project.

This is an unpaid internship, onsite in our Jacksonville office.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As an Integration Technology & Process Improvement Intern, you will:

• • Learn how payment terminals, POS systems, payment applications, processors, APIs, and SDKs work together.
• • Shadow Integration Team members and gain exposure to real-world software implementations and technical troubleshooting.
• • Explore PAX products, technical documentation, development resources, and integration workflows.
• • Collaborate with professionals across Integration and potentially other teams such as Software Development, QA, Product Management, Technical Support, and Sales Engineering.
• • Identify a technical, documentation, knowledge-management, or process improvement opportunity.
• • Develop a project proposal based on your observations.
• • Design and build a proof of concept, automation, workflow improvement, technical resource, or other solution.
• • Explore the use of PAX-approved AI and automation technologies where appropriate.
• • Test your solution, gather feedback, and make improvements.
• • Document your work and recommendations.
• • Present your completed project and findings to PAX team members.

What You’ll Need:

• • An interest in learning how technology works and solving problems.
• • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a technical, analytical, or related field.
• • An interest in technology, software, AI, automation, or process improvement.
• • Enjoy solving problems and learning unfamiliar systems.
• • Can communicate your ideas clearly.
• • Comfortable asking questions and seeking feedback.
• • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• • Interest in turning an idea into a working project or proof of concept.
• • Availability for fully onsite work in Jacksonville, FL.
