INSTRUCTIONS

The following section provides basic operating instructions for the IM20.

Power ON/OFF

  • Power ON: Link the IM20 to a power source via the MDB port.
  • Power OFF: Disconnect the IM20 from the power source it is connected to.

SAM Card Installation

  1. Remove the SAM card module cover to reveal the SAM card slots (3).
  2. Open the mount and insert the card into the slot with the contacts facing towards the IM20 unit and with the clipped corner of the card to the upper left, then lock the mount with the card inside.

Device Installation

  1. The back face of the installation should have 4 to 8 bolts corresponding to the mounting points located on the mounting bracket. Slide the mounting bracket into place and then fix it in place with 4 M4 Nuts.
  2. Slide the IM20 into place. The back portion of the device should rest securely inside the mounting bracket.
  3. Secure the IM20 unit to its mounting bracket using 4 M3 Screws.

CARD READERS

The IM20 includes the following card readers:

NFC/Contactless Card Reader

Orient the card of NFC device parallel to the LCD screen and then place it directly above the screen.

Magnetic Stripe Reader (MSR)

Orient the card with the magnetic strip facing down and to the right, then insert the card fully into the card reader slot before quickly pulling out the card.

EMV Reader

Insert the card fully into the card reader slot with the contacts oriented upwards and towards the IM20.


CLEANING THE DEVICE

  • Do not use industrial strength or abrasive cleaner as it may damage or scratch the screen.
  • Do not immerse the device in water or liquid.
  • Do not spray water or cleaner into ports.
  • To clean the screen, apply distilled water or mild glass cleaner onto a soft, lint-free cloth and gently wipe terminal.

TERMINAL USAGE TIPS

  • If any cables become damaged, seek a replacement.
  • If there is any suspicious object, please report to the related administrator.
  • Do not insert unknown materials into any port on the IM20; this may cause serious damage.
  • If repairs are required, please contact a professional technician instead of attempting them on your own.
  • Avoid exposing the device to an excessively hot, dusty, or strong electromagnetic environment.
  • Do not vibrate, shake, or drop the device.

These requirements set a SAR limit of 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. The highest SAR value reported under this standard during product certification for use when properly worn on the body
