PAX Technology Limited, a global provider of electronic payment solutions, has been granted PCI PTS 3.X certifications by the PCI Security Standards Council for the mobile wireless S90 and advanced countertop S80 POS terminals.
PAX is one of the very few global POS terminal suppliers who have continued to invest in continuously upgrading the same best-selling POS terminal models from PCI 1.x to PCI 2.x and now PCI 3.x. This strategy was implemented by PAX in order to provide as little disruption as possible to payment integrators, processors and acquiring banks. Other POS suppliers, however, chose to not certify popular POS models to a higher level of PCI, thus forcing many customers to purchase new and presumably higher margin products, a costly exercise.
PAX’s S90 and S80 terminals support a wide range of communications such as GPRS, CDMA, TCP/IP and PSTN. They are considered as some of the most reliable and sturdy POS terminals ever introduced by POS terminal suppliers during the past decade.
