ITG and PAX partner on implementation of POS terminal agnostic platform

Shenzhen (China) & Moscow (Russia), 2nd January 2012 — Acquiring Banks across the EMEA region are set to benefit in 2012 from the innovative UNIPOS software application platform developed by INLINE Technologies Group (ITG), one of the leaders in information technologies and Europe’s leading payment system integrators, and now available on PAX Technology’s wide range of PCI and EMV compliant POS terminals.

Vladimir Saurin, Sales Director EMEA commented: “Banks today have a wide variety of POS terminal brands deployed in the field.  The problem is that they all run different software applications on different platforms, connected to different terminal management systems. This has resulted in banks facing high costs for software updates, high costs of localization and a myriad of complex interface issues”.

With UNIPOS, banks can reduce costs by licensing only those necessary POS terminal functions required.

Mark O’Flynn, Sales Director at PAX, added: “PAX fully supports this ITG initiative and a number of banks around the Europe, Middle East and Africa region have already begun deploying our robust and cost-effective mobile S90 POS terminal, and the countertop models S80 and S58, running UNIPOS software”.
