PAX Technology, a leading global provider of secure electronic payment terminals, and Optomany, a UK payments systems integrator, have announced the launch of a new competitive Point of Sale terminal offering for acquiring banks, processors and merchants in the United Kingdom.
The UK Cards Association issued a letter in April approving three PAX terminal models to be recommended to their members who include Barclaycard, Elavon, Global Payments, First Data, Cardnet, Worldpay and American Express.
Mr. Simon Wilding, CEO of Optomany and former founder of well-known UK payments integrator Commidea, commented: “We have invested heavily over the last year to develop secure UK payment software, obtain Common Criteria approval and build an innovative payment gateway”.
Mr. Michael Sundin, former founder of Scandinavian payments integrator Point International, added: “In PAX we have found a fantastic terminal supplier offering a wider range of products than rivals and superior levels of technical support”.
Devices with UKCC approval, the terminal safety certification of UK Cards Association, currently include the S300 Integrated Retail PINpad, the S800 Countertop and S900 Mobile Wireless POS terminals.
